Summer Library Program
The Bloomfield's Summer Library Program, is an annual event that focuses on blending community, learning, and reading through a series of activities from June 1st to July 31st. We hold special programs, invite community guests, and give away prizes with our Summer Reading Challenge.
Kids search for superhero painted rocks during the Superhero Day outdoor scavenger hunt.
Davis County Sheriff Zach Dunlavy reads a book about law enforcement as a Summer Storytime Guest.
Kids and teens create a 1200 domino run for the library's first ever Domino Topple program.
Summer Reading Challenge
Throughout the summer patrons of all ages complete reading challenges to earn prizes including a free book, library swag, local coupons, and tickets to put in the library's grand prize drawings. The program is meant to encourage patrons to challenge themselves, and read a little outside their usual box.
If you are interested in participating, you can visit the library starting on June 1st to sign up. You can bring in your tracking sheet for prizes anytime through July 31st. On August 1st we will draw the names for the grand prizes, and contact the winners.
2026 Grand Prizes
As you track your reading in the summer, you can earn tickets to enter into one of our 3 grand prize drawings. We will draw names for grand prizes for 2026 on August 1st.
