About

The Bloomfield Public Library is open to everyone!

"The heart & soul of our libraries are the staff who welcome, assist, & uplift patrons of every age and background every day."

-Roberta Lynch

Our original library building was erected in 1912/13 and is a Carnegie Library.  In October 2015 the Carnegie library was added to the National Register of Historic Places.  In 2018 we reopened after adding our addition, which allows us to have a coffee lounge, upstairs children's area, and meeting rooms as well as a reference room and restrooms in the basement.  Our facility is accessible via the original door and a handicap accessible entry lower down, there is also an elevator to the upper and lower levels.
